Dufftown distillery was founded in the 1890s in the town that gave it its name, at the heart of Speyside. It was owned for many years by Arthur Bell & Sons and is now part of Diageo. Older bottlings carry the name Dufftown-Glenlivet, from the time when many Speyside distilleries added Glenlivet to their names.
It is one of Diageo's larger malt distilleries, and much of its spirit has gone into blends, especially Bell's. The house style is malty, nutty and gently fruity, a sturdy Speyside malt rather than a delicate one.
Officially, Dufftown is sold today as The Singleton of Dufftown, with age-stated bottlings and travel retail releases such as Spey Cascade. Collectors also look for older official bottles, including the Dufftown-Glenlivet 8 and 12 Year Olds from the 1960s and 1980s and the Centenary 20 Year Old.
Dufftown is regularly bottled by independent bottlers. In our catalogue you will find single casks and vintages from Gordon & MacPhail, Hunter Laing (including Old & Rare), Berry Bros. & Rudd, Douglas Laing, That Boutique-y Whisky Company, A.D. Rattray, The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. and Càrn Mòr, some of them at considerable age.

About whiskies
Whisky (or whiskey) is a distilled alcoholic beverage made from fermented grain mash. Various grains are used including barley, corn, rye, and wheat. Whisky is typically aged in wooden casks, which gives it its distinctive color and complex flavor profile.
Each bottling represents a unique expression with specific characteristics like age, cask type, and alcohol strength.
