Berry Bros. & Rudd is a family-owned wine and spirits merchant based at 3 St James's Street in London, where it has traded since 1698. Over its long history it has also been closely tied to whisky brands, including Cutty Sark blended Scotch.
As an independent bottler it does not distil. It selects casks from distilleries and bottles them under its own label, mostly as single casks or small batches with the distillery named on the label. Bottlings in its own selection are generally offered without chill filtration or added colouring, at cask strength or at a reduced strength stated on the label.
Our catalogue lists Berry Bros. & Rudd bottlings from Speyside, Highland and Islay distilleries such as Linkwood, Caol Ila, Clynelish, Teaninich, Inchgower, Blair Athol and Glenlivet, as well as the closed Lowland distillery Littlemill.
Many releases are identified simply by vintage, such as 1973, 1990, 1997 or 2000, often with a cask number and age statement. Older vintages from closed or rarely bottled distilleries are of particular interest to collectors.

About whiskies
Whisky (or whiskey) is a distilled alcoholic beverage made from fermented grain mash. Various grains are used including barley, corn, rye, and wheat. Whisky is typically aged in wooden casks, which gives it its distinctive color and complex flavor profile.
Each bottling represents a unique expression with specific characteristics like age, cask type, and alcohol strength.
