The Vintage Malt Whisky Company is an independent bottler in Scotland, founded in the early 1990s. It does not run its own distillery; it buys whisky in cask from other producers and bottles it under its own labels.
Its best-known range is The Cooper's Choice, mostly single cask bottlings with the distillery, vintage, age and cask number on the label. Many are bottled at 46% and others at cask strength, usually without chill filtration. Some releases are finished in other casks, such as wine or sherry casks, and a few carry descriptive names like "Sherried Smoke" or "Speyside Dessert" instead of a distillery name. The Golden Cut Collection is a further series within Cooper's Choice.
The company also owns Finlaggan, an Islay single malt sold without naming the distillery, which includes versions such as the Red Wine Cask. In our catalogue its bottlings include whisky from Caol Ila, Ardmore, Deanston, Tomatin and Loch Lomond, as well as single grain from Cameronbridge and North British.
