Glen Grant was founded in 1840 by the brothers James and John Grant in Rothes. It grew into one of the best-known Speyside malts and became especially popular in Italy, where it was for decades among the leading single malts. Since 2006 it has been owned by the Campari Group.
The spirit is light, clean and fruity, with apple, pear and soft vanilla. That style comes from tall, slender stills fitted with purifiers, which send heavier vapours back for redistillation. Much of the official range is matured in ex-bourbon casks, which keeps the fruit to the fore.
The official range includes the no-age-statement Arboralis, the 15 Year Old Batch Strength, and the 16, 18 and 21 Year Old, with very old releases such as the 40 and 50 Year Old for collectors.
Glen Grant has a long association with Gordon & MacPhail, whose Licensed Bottling and vintage releases, some distilled in the 1950s and 1960s, are among the oldest Glen Grant you can find. It is also bottled by Duncan Taylor, Signatory Vintage, Douglas Laing, Hunter Laing, Càrn Mòr and Berry Bros. & Rudd, often as single casks.

About whiskies
Whisky (or whiskey) is a distilled alcoholic beverage made from fermented grain mash. Various grains are used including barley, corn, rye, and wheat. Whisky is typically aged in wooden casks, which gives it its distinctive color and complex flavor profile.
Each bottling represents a unique expression with specific characteristics like age, cask type, and alcohol strength.
