Mannochmore lies just south of Elgin in Speyside, sharing its site with the older Glenlossie distillery. It was built in 1971 by the Distillers Company, now part of Diageo, which still owns it. Most of its spirit goes into blended Scotch.
The spirit is unpeated and generally light, grassy and fruity, which suits blending. Official single malts are few. The best known is the 12 Year Old in Diageo's Flora & Fauna series, and the distillery has also appeared in the Special Releases, such as the 25 Year Old 1990 released in 2016.
Mannochmore is also remembered for Loch Dhu 10 Year Old, a very dark whisky released in the 1990s. It did not sell well at the time but has since become a curiosity for collectors.
Much of the Mannochmore you will meet comes from independent bottlers. Our catalogue includes casks from Signatory Vintage, Gordon & MacPhail, Douglas Laing, Càrn Mòr, The Single Cask, James Eadie, Malts of Scotland and The Vintage Malt Whisky Company, often as single casks at a range of ages.

About whiskies
Whisky (or whiskey) is a distilled alcoholic beverage made from fermented grain mash. Various grains are used including barley, corn, rye, and wheat. Whisky is typically aged in wooden casks, which gives it its distinctive color and complex flavor profile.
Each bottling represents a unique expression with specific characteristics like age, cask type, and alcohol strength.
