Speyburn sits in a narrow glen just outside Rothes, in the heart of Speyside. It was built in 1897 and is owned today by Inver House Distillers, the group that also runs Old Pulteney, Balblair, anCnoc and Balmenach.
The spirit is light and fresh, with fruity, honeyed and gently malty notes. It has long been an important component of blends, but Speyburn is also one of the more widely available and affordable Speyside single malts.
The official range starts with Bradan Orach, a no-age-statement malt whose Gaelic name refers to a golden salmon, and the 10 Year Old. Older expressions include the 15, 16 and 18 Year Old, alongside cask variations such as Bourbon Cask and Rum Cask. Older bottles may also turn up under labels such as Glenkeir Treasures.
Independent bottlings appear regularly. Our catalogue lists casks from Douglas Laing (Provenance), Hunter Laing (The First Editions), Gordon & MacPhail, That Boutique-y Whisky Company, Langside, Berry Bros. & Rudd, Elevenses and A.D. Rattray.

About whiskies
Whisky (or whiskey) is a distilled alcoholic beverage made from fermented grain mash. Various grains are used including barley, corn, rye, and wheat. Whisky is typically aged in wooden casks, which gives it its distinctive color and complex flavor profile.
Each bottling represents a unique expression with specific characteristics like age, cask type, and alcohol strength.
