About La Maison du Whisky

- Bénitah family
La Maison du Whisky was founded in Paris in 1956 and grew into one of France's leading whisky importers, distributors and specialist shops. It is still run by the Bénitah family and organises the Whisky Live Paris show.
Alongside importing distillery brands, it selects and bottles casks under its own name. It works mostly by buying casks that have already matured with distilleries or brokers and choosing the ones it wants to release. Many of its selections are single casks and are often bottled at cask strength, with the cask number printed on the label.
The best known whisky ranges are the Artist series, with labels designed by different artists for each edition (Artist #7, #8 and #9 appear in our catalogue), and the Artist Collective, which covers whiskies such as Glenlivet and older vintages. The Ten was another series of releases. Bottlings in our data include Bunnahabhain and Ledaig among the distilleries.
La Maison du Whisky also bottles rum. Its Flag Series picks rums from different countries, such as South Africa, Vietnam and the Dominican Republic, each labelled with the national flag.
