Rosebank stands beside the Forth and Clyde Canal in Falkirk, in the Scottish Lowlands. It was founded in the 19th century and for many years was seen as the classic Lowland malt. Its owners closed it in 1993, and for decades the remaining stocks became prized by collectors.
The spirit was triple distilled, which is unusual in Scotland. This gives a light, delicate and floral whisky, often described with notes of grass, lemon and flowers. Ian Macleod Distillers bought the brand and the site in 2017, rebuilt the distillery and began distilling again in 2023.
Official releases from the old owners include the 12 Year Old in the Flora and Fauna series, the Rare Malts bottlings and Limited Release editions. Under Ian Macleod there are older aged releases, such as the 32 Year Old, and The Roses Edition single casks.
Rosebank has also been bottled by many independent bottlers. Look for Gordon & MacPhail's Connoisseurs Choice, Douglas Laing's Old & Rare and Directors' Cut, Murray McDavid, Mackillop's Choice, Hunter Laing, That Boutique-y Whisky Company and The Cooper's Choice. Since the old stock is finite, these bottles are becoming scarcer and more expensive.

About whiskies
Whisky (or whiskey) is a distilled alcoholic beverage made from fermented grain mash. Various grains are used including barley, corn, rye, and wheat. Whisky is typically aged in wooden casks, which gives it its distinctive color and complex flavor profile.
Each bottling represents a unique expression with specific characteristics like age, cask type, and alcohol strength.
