Malts of Scotland is een onafhankelijke bottelaar uit Duitsland. Ze distilleren zelf niet. Ze selecteren vaten Schotse whisky van allerlei distilleerderijen en bottelen die onder hun eigen label, dus de keuze van het vat en het moment van botteling liggen helemaal bij hen.
Een typische uitgave is een single cask, met op het etiket de naam van de distilleerderij, het oogstjaar, de leeftijd en het vatnummer, zoals de 13 Year Old 2010 (vat 11276) of de 23 Year Old 1995 (vat 10201) in onze catalogus. Tot de distilleerderijen die hieronder vallen, behoren Caol Ila, Ardmore, Linkwood, Bruichladdich, Tobermory, Ben Nevis en Mannochmore, evenals de gesloten Imperial en de naam Braes of Glenlivet die voor Braeval wordt gebruikt.
Let op: de naam kan makkelijk verward worden met Single Malts of Scotland, een apart assortiment van Speciality Drinks (nu Elixir Distillers). Sommige flessen die onder deze naam in onze catalogus staan, zoals de Reserve Casks-partijen, de Elements of Islay Pl5 (Port Charlotte) en de 25 Year Old Marriage, horen bij die andere serie.
