Morrison & MacKay

Morrison & MacKay is a family whisky business based in Perthshire, Scotland, linked to the Morrison family, long known in the Scotch whisky trade. Besides bottling, the company has moved into distilling with its own distillery project at Aberargie near Perth.

As an independent bottler it buys casks of mature whisky from other distilleries and bottles them under its own labels. The best-known range is Càrn Mòr Strictly Limited: single casks or small batches from distilleries such as Glentauchers, Benrinnes, Dailuaine, Clynelish and Ben Nevis, typically bottled young to mid-aged with the vintage on the label, without chill filtration or added colour.

Old Perth is its blended malt label, with standard bottlings and older vintage releases such as the 21 Year Old 1996. Mac-Talla is its Islay single malt brand, sold without naming the distillery. A buyer may also see occasional releases such as Virgin Oak Limited Edition and The Big Strand.
