Kingsbury

Kingsbury is an independent bottler with close links to the Japanese whisky market, where many of its releases are sold. It does not distill; it selects casks of Scotch whisky and bottles them under its own name.

The bottles in our catalogue are almost all single casks, each labelled with an age, a vintage and a cask number, such as the 23 Year Old 1990 (cask 10116) or the 25 Year Old 1991 (cask 314). Because every cask differs, two Kingsbury bottlings from the same distillery can taste quite different, and each release is limited to the yield of one cask.

The distilleries it has bottled range across Scotland: Bunnahabhain and Arran from the islands, Clynelish from the northern Highlands, Ben Nevis from the west, and Speyside names such as Glenlivet, Glen Grant, Auchroisk, Tomintoul and Braeval. Many of these are mature whiskies of 18 years and more.

For buyers, the cask number on the label is the key detail: it tells you exactly which bottling you are comparing, so check it when looking at prices.
