Whisky Works is a small-batch label created by Whyte & Mackay, the Glasgow-based Scotch whisky company owned by Emperador. It was launched around 2018 as a place for the company's blenders to release limited, experimental whiskies drawn from the group's large stock of casks.
The releases are mostly Scotch blends and blended malts rather than single malts from one named distillery. Ranges a buyer will meet include the Glaswegian 29 Year Old, the King of Trees 10 Year Old, the Quartermaster 11 Year Old and a Speyside 20 Year Old. Each is a limited batch, so availability changes over time.
Our catalogue also groups a number of Copperworks bottles under this name, such as Release 046, single casks 332 and 356, and the Maltsmith, Farmsmith, Peatsmith, Color Cask and Port Cask bottlings. These are American single malts from Copperworks Distilling in Seattle and are a separate producer from the Whyte & Mackay label, so check the label for the distillery when comparing prices.
