Ezra Brooks

Ezra Brooks is an American whiskey brand from Kentucky, first introduced in the late 1950s. For many years it was a straightforward, affordable bourbon, and that reputation for value has stayed with it.

The brand belongs to Luxco, which is now part of MGP Ingredients. For a long time the whiskey was sourced from other Kentucky distilleries; since Luxco opened its Lux Row Distillers site in Bardstown, the brand has been made and bottled there, with some products, such as the rye, sourced from elsewhere.

The bourbons are Kentucky straight bourbons with a corn-led mash bill. The Black Label is the entry point, while Ezra Brooks 99 Proof is a slightly stronger, fuller everyday bourbon. Old Ezra 7 Year Old is the more mature, higher-strength option, and Single Barrel and Full Proof releases bring more intensity.

Beyond bourbon, buyers will find a Straight Rye Whiskey at 90 proof, a Port Cask Finish of the 99 Proof, and a White Label Blended Whiskey. Older bottlings, such as a 15 Years Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon, are scarce and are often older releases sought by collectors.
