Nusbaumer is a family-run distillery in Steige, in the Villé valley of Alsace in eastern France. The region has a long tradition of distilling the fruit of its orchards and hedgerows, and Nusbaumer is one of its well-known names.
Its core is fruit brandy, the clear eaux-de-vie that Alsace is known for. In our catalogue you will meet De Mirabelle, De Framboise, Framboise Sauvage Selection, Poire Williams Selection, Quetsch Reserve and an aged Vieux Kirsch Reserve, along with more unusual spirits such as Baie De Houx, made from holly berries, and Cumin.
The house also makes sweet fruit crèmes, including Creme De Cassis, Creme De Mure, Creme De Quetsch and Creme De Sureau. These are liqueurs for sipping or mixing rather than whisky, so whisky buyers will find Nusbaumer mostly of interest as a fruit-spirit producer.
