Armorik is made at Distillerie Warenghem in Lannion, on the north coast of Brittany. The distillery began as a maker of liqueurs and spirits and turned to whisky in the late twentieth century. Armorik became one of the first single malts produced in France.
The whisky is distilled in pot stills and matured in a coastal climate. Bourbon and sherry casks are used, and some releases also see local oak. The house style tends to be fruity and malty, with a soft maritime touch.
The core range includes the Double Maturation and the Sherry Cask, alongside aged bottlings such as the 10 Year Old Signature, the 10 Year Old Dervenn, and the 15 and 18 Year Old. Many expressions carry Breton names, such as Men Ruz and Yeun Elez. The Maître de Chai releases are vintage bottlings selected by the cellar master.
Most Armorik is bottled by the distillery itself. Occasional single casks appear from retailers and independent bottlers, such as the 5 Year Old 2013 single cask for Master of Malt.
