Aber Falls is a distillery in the village of Abergwyngregyn on the North Wales coast, named after the waterfall in the hills above it. It opened in the late 2010s as one of a small group of whisky distilleries in modern Wales, and it also makes gin and liqueurs.
The distillery has made a point of using Welsh ingredients, and its first single malt reached the shelves as the Single Malt Whisky - Inaugural Release. The style is young, clean and fruity, with much of the character coming from the casks.
Most releases are cask finishes. Buyers will meet the Sherry Cask Finish, the Sauternes Cask Finish and its stronger Sauternes Cask - Distiller's Cut, the Single Malt Madeira Cask, the Calvados Cask and the Vin Santo Cask. Alongside the malt there is the Aber Falls 6 Year Old Rye.
Aber Falls is bottled by the distillery itself; as a young distillery it is rarely seen from independent bottlers.
