Kings County

Kings County Distillery was founded in Brooklyn in 2010 by Colin Spoelman and David Haskell, and is known as New York City's oldest operating whiskey distillery. It works from a historic building in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

The distillery uses copper pot stills, which is unusual for American bourbon, and its bourbon mash includes a relatively high share of malted barley. This gives a richer, more malty style than many mainstream bourbons. A signature idea is Peated Bourbon, made with some peated malt in the mash bill.

The range a buyer meets includes the Straight Bourbon, Bottled in Bond Bourbon, Barrel Strength Bourbon, 6 Year Old Single Barrel Bourbon and Blended Bourbon. Alongside these sit the Peated Bourbon, the Empire Rye Cask Strength, a Single Malt Whiskey and a Peated Malt.

All of these are bottled by the distillery itself in Brooklyn.
