Tullibardine liegt in Blackford, am Rande der Ochil Hills in Perthshire. Das Dorf blickt auf eine lange Brautradition zurück und ist außerdem für sein Quellwasser bekannt. Die heutige Brennerei wurde 1949 auf dem Gelände einer älteren Brauerei errichtet.
Die Brennerei wurde Mitte der 1990er Jahre stillgelegt und 2003 von einer Gruppe privater Investoren wieder in Betrieb genommen. Seit 2011 gehört sie dem französischen Familienunternehmen Picard Vins & Spiritueux, dessen Wurzeln in Burgund sich in der Auswahl einiger Fässer widerspiegeln.
Der Whisky ist ungetorft, und der Hausstil tendiert zu Frucht, Malz und Süße. Im offiziellen Sortiment ist der „Sovereign“ der Einstiegswhisky aus Bourbonfässern, während der „225 Sauternes“, der „228 Burgundy“ und der „500 Sherry“ in Fässern gereift sind, deren Fassgröße in Litern jeder Abfüllung ihren Namen gibt. Auch ältere offizielle Abfüllungen wie der „25 Year Old“ und Jahrgangsabfüllungen sind erhältlich.
Tullibardine wird außerdem regelmäßig von unabhängigen Abfüllern abgefüllt.
