Eden Mill started at Guardbridge, just outside St Andrews in Fife, on the site of an old paper mill by the Eden estuary. It began as a brewery and added a distillery a couple of years later, becoming known first for its gins before its own single malt came of age.
While its own spirit matured, Eden Mill released blended malts made from whisky bought in from other Scottish distilleries, such as The Guard Bridge and the numbered Art Of The Blend batches. Its own single malt followed in annual releases, including 2018 and 2021 editions, with the 2021 release also offered at cask strength.
The single malts put weight on cask type, with Bourbon Cask and Sherry Cask bottlings and the Cask Mastery Series, which includes Madeira and Port cask releases from 2022. A 15 Year Old also appears in the range. Bottles are officially released by Eden Mill itself.
