Samaroli is an independent bottler from Italy, founded by Silvano Samaroli in the late 1960s. He was one of the early figures in independent bottling and his older releases are much sought after by collectors. After his death in 2017 the company has continued to release whisky under his name.
Like other independent bottlers, Samaroli does not distil. It selects casks of Scotch whisky from many distilleries and bottles them under its own label, so the choice of cask and the moment of bottling are its responsibility. Our catalogue includes bottlings from Glentauchers, Glenlivet, Braeval, Glenallachie, Caol Ila, Ardmore, Linkwood and Macduff.
Many releases are single casks, named on the label by vintage, bottling year and cask number, such as Braeval 1994 (bottled 2018) (cask 165700). Alongside these come vatted or blended releases with their own names, including Without Borders (2020 Edition), Silvestre, Samaroli Speyside (2022) and Diamond - 2018 Edition.
