Deerstalker

Deerstalker is a long-standing Scotch whisky name, today looked after by Aberko, a family-run whisky company based in Glasgow. It does not run its own distillery; it buys whisky from other producers and bottles it under the Deerstalker label.

The core of the brand is blended malt Scotch, including the Peated Edition, for drinkers who want an easy route into a smoky style. Next to these sit single cask releases that name the distillery, cask number and vintage on the label.

The Wild Scotland Collection gathers single casks of around nine to eleven years old, while the Limited Release series covers older casks of eighteen to over thirty years. In our catalogue these come from distilleries such as Deanston, Glen Ord, Teaninich, Auchroisk, Loch Lomond, Speyside and North British, the last being a grain whisky distillery. Strength and cask type differ from cask to cask, so the label is the best guide.
