Flora & Fauna

Flora & Fauna is not an independent bottler but an official range from the owner of the distilleries, launched by United Distillers, now Diageo, in the early 1990s. Its aim was to show single malts from distilleries whose whisky went mostly into blends such as Johnnie Walker.

Each label shows a plant or animal from the area around the distillery, which gives the series its name. The bottles are usually at 43% and carry age statements, most often between 10 and 16 years.

In our catalogue the series covers Glenlossie, Glen Spey, Dailuaine, Benrinnes, Inchgower, Strathmill, Teaninich and Linkwood, mostly in Speyside and the Highlands. Buyers will meet 10, 12, 14 and 15 year old bottlings, as well as the Flora & Fauna Complete Collection. Some distilleries have left the series over the years, so older bottles turn up on the collector market.
