Absolut

Absolut is a vodka brand from Sweden, produced in and around the town of Åhus in Skåne. The brand traces its roots to the 19th century 'Absolut Rent Brännvin' of Lars Olsson Smith. The modern Absolut brand, with its apothecary-style bottle, was launched in 1979.

Absolut vodka is made from Swedish winter wheat and water from a local well in Åhus, distilled in a continuous process. Since 2008 the brand has belonged to Pernod Ricard. Whisky buyers should note that this is vodka, not whisky, which is why it appears here alongside our whisky producers.

The ranges in our catalogue include the original Blue label vodka and the stronger Absolut 100. There is a wide choice of flavoured vodkas such as Vanilla, Lime, Grapefruit and Passionfruit, as well as Sensations and Extrakt, a spiced spirit drink.
