Busker is made at the Royal Oak Distillery in County Carlow, in Ireland's south-east. The distillery opened in the mid-2010s and is owned by the Italian drinks group Illva Saronno. It is one of the few Irish distilleries able to make pot still, malt and grain whiskey on one site.
The range is built to show the different styles of Irish whiskey side by side. The Single Pot Still uses the traditional Irish mash of malted and unmalted barley. The Single Malt and Single Grain are the other two building blocks.
The Triple Cask is a blend of all three styles, matured in a mix of cask types. It is the entry point of the range. The whole line is aimed at easygoing drinking and is often priced for newcomers to Irish whiskey.
