Isle of Skye is a blended Scotch whisky named after the island off Scotland's west coast. It is owned and bottled by Ian Macleod Distillers, an independent, family-owned Scotch whisky company.
The blend combines malt and grain whiskies and is known for a gentle, rounded style with a light touch of smoke. It is not the product of a single distillery on Skye.
The range is built on age statements. The 8 Year Old is the everyday bottling and also comes as a miniature, followed by the 12, 18, 21, 25 and 30 Year Old blends. The older ages are harder to find and are mostly bought as gifts or by collectors.
