Château du Breuil

Château du Breuil sits in Le Breuil-en-Auge, in the Pays d'Auge area of Normandy, a region famous for its apple orchards. The estate is centred on a historic château and is best known as a producer of Calvados Pays d'Auge.

Most of the ranges a buyer meets are Calvados: the Fine, the Reserve 8 Years Old, the XO 20 Years Old, La Légende Hors d'Age, 30 Years Old and vintage Millésime bottlings such as 2002. The house also makes Pommeau de Normandie, a blend of apple juice and young Calvados.

Under the Le Breuil label the house also offers whisky, such as the Duo de Malt blend and the Finition Tourbée, where the link with Calvados casks shapes the character. These sit alongside the Calvados rather than replacing it, so check each listing to see whether a bottle is brandy or whisky.
