Marolo is a family-run distillery in Alba, in the Piedmont region of northern Italy, founded by Paolo Marolo. It is best known as a grappa maker, working with the pomace left over from local and other Italian wines.

Most of the bottles in our catalogue are single-grape or single-wine grappas named after their source: Di Barolo, Di Barbaresco, Di Moscato, Di Arneis, Di Brachetto, Di Brunello and Di Amarone, as well as Di Barbera Pianpolvere and Di Dedicata Del Padre. Buyers looking for whisky should note that these are grape spirits rather than whisky.

The Doppio Fusto bottlings, such as Barolo Doppio Fusto and Brunello Doppio Fusto, are aged versions that spend time in two different casks, giving a rounder, more wood-led spirit than the younger grappas.
