East London Liquor Company is a distillery and bar in Bow, East London, set up in the mid-2010s in an old industrial building by the canal. It began with gin and vodka and laid down whisky early on, which has since become a steady part of what it makes.
Rye is the house speciality. The East London Liquor Co. London Rye is its best-known whisky, made from a mash of rye and malted barley, and it has been followed by an English single malt.
Much of the range is small batch or single cask, often matured or finished in wine casks. A buyer will meet releases such as the Chardonnay cask London Rye, a Radikon Merlot single cask single malt, an Islay cask single malt, a Pauillac cask rye and a sherry cask rye made for the Whisky Show 2023.
The distillery bottles most of its whisky itself, though occasional casks appear from independent bottlers such as The Heart Cut. Note that the Yesteryear London Single Rye listed under it comes from The London Distillery Company, a different London producer.
