Evan Williams

Evan Williams is a bourbon brand owned by Heaven Hill, the family-owned company based in Bardstown, Kentucky. It is named after Evan Williams, an 18th-century settler often described as one of Kentucky's earliest commercial distillers, and the brand was introduced by Heaven Hill in the 1950s.

The whiskey is distilled by Heaven Hill at its Bernheim distillery in Louisville and matured in new charred oak barrels in Kentucky warehouses. In Louisville's Whiskey Row the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience offers visits and runs a small distillery of its own.

The everyday bottling is Evan Williams Black, a widely available Kentucky Straight Bourbon. The Bottled in Bond 100 Proof, with its white label, meets the US bonded rules: at least four years old, from one distillery and one season, bottled at 50% ABV. The Single Barrel Vintage is dated by year of distillation, and the 12 Year Old is an older expression. Evan Williams Honey is a flavoured spirit drink rather than straight bourbon.
