The Haig family were among the earliest whisky distillers in Scotland, and their name became one of the best known blended Scotch brands. The brand is now owned by Diageo.
Haig's grain whisky comes from Cameronbridge in Fife, a large grain distillery with long ties to the family. Haig Club, the modern single grain release, is distilled there and is a light, sweet style aimed at easy drinking and mixing. Haig Clubman is a related single grain bottling.
Older blends such as Haig Gold Label and Haig & Haig 12 Year Old turn up at auction, and our catalogue includes bottlings from the 1940s and 1960s with spring caps or cork stoppers. These are of interest to collectors of old blended Scotch.
Our catalogue also lists the Legacy series (Allt Gleann, Cnoc na Moine, Sound of Sleat) and The Inaugural Release under this name. Those are single malts from Torabhaig distillery on Skye, not Haig whiskies.
