Nardini family

Nardini comes from Bassano del Grappa in the Veneto, where the family business has distilled grappa for well over two centuries. Its old distillery and shop by the town's covered wooden bridge are a local landmark, and it is often described as one of Italy's oldest grappa makers.

The house is best known for grappa rather than whisky. Grappa is distilled from pomace, the skins and seeds left over from winemaking, and Nardini offers it both clear and aged in wood. Bianca is its classic unaged grappa, and the 22 Years Old Single Cask is a long-aged bottling.

Alongside grappa, Nardini makes a family of liqueurs and aperitifs: Acqua di Cedro (citron), Acqua di Mandorla (almond), Mistra (anise), Tagliatella (a fruit liqueur), Virtu di Rabarbaro (rhubarb), Bitter Chinato and the Mezzoemezzo aperitif. These are good to know about if you come across Nardini in our listings, since none of them is a whisky.
