The Whistler is an Irish whiskey brand from the Boann Distillery near Drogheda in County Meath, a family business that also makes gin and runs a visitor centre.
As the distillery's own spirit matures, much of The Whistler range is built on whiskey sourced from other Irish distilleries and then finished in a wide variety of casks. The house style leans on these finishes for its character.
Buyers will meet bottlings such as The Calvados Cask Finish, The Imperial Stout Cask Finish, The Double Oaked, The Mosaic Marsala Cask and The Good, The Bad & The Smoky. Older releases include a 10 year old French cask, a 14 year old single cask from ruby port and a 16 year old with a Palo Cortado sherry finish.
