Glenlossie lies just south of Elgin in Speyside. It was founded in 1876 and today belongs to Diageo. In 1971 a second distillery, Mannochmore, was built on the same site, and the two share some facilities.
The distillery runs six stills, and its spirit stills are fitted with purifiers, which return heavier vapours to the still. This helps produce a light, clean, grassy spirit with fruit and a slightly oily texture. Most of it goes into blends, and Glenlossie has long been valued by blenders.
Official bottlings are rare. The best known is a 10 year old in Diageo's Flora & Fauna series, with occasional older releases such as a 25 Year Old.
Independent bottlers are the main way to find Glenlossie. Our catalogue lists Signatory Vintage (including its Cask Strength and Un-Chillfiltered Collections), Gordon & MacPhail (with older Connoisseurs Choice bottlings), Douglas Laing's Old Particular, Càrn Mòr's Strictly Limited, James Eadie, That Boutique-y Whisky Company and Master of Malt.

About whiskies
Whisky (or whiskey) is a distilled alcoholic beverage made from fermented grain mash. Various grains are used including barley, corn, rye, and wheat. Whisky is typically aged in wooden casks, which gives it its distinctive color and complex flavor profile.
Each bottling represents a unique expression with specific characteristics like age, cask type, and alcohol strength.
