Edradour sits in a small glen just outside Pitlochry in Perthshire and dates from 1825. For a long time it was promoted as one of Scotland's smallest distilleries, with traditional white-washed buildings and a tiny production.
Since 2002 it has been owned by Andrew Symington's Signatory Vintage, the independent bottler. Under Signatory it has become known for sherry casks and wine finishes, and from the early 2000s it has also distilled a heavily peated spirit sold as Ballechin.
The spirit is made on small stills and has an oily, rich character that suits sherry wood. The core official bottling is the 10 year old, alongside Caledonia and many cask strength releases, notably the Straight From The Cask (STFC) series and single casks in the Ibisco decanter, plus finishes such as Bordeaux and Sauternes.
Because the owner is itself a bottler, much Edradour appears under the Signatory Vintage name, for example in its Un-Chillfiltered Collection. Other independent releases are rarer, though our catalogue also lists bottlings from Master of Malt, The Ultimate (van Wees) and others.

About whiskies
Whisky (or whiskey) is a distilled alcoholic beverage made from fermented grain mash. Various grains are used including barley, corn, rye, and wheat. Whisky is typically aged in wooden casks, which gives it its distinctive color and complex flavor profile.
Each bottling represents a unique expression with specific characteristics like age, cask type, and alcohol strength.
