Teerenpeli began as a brewery and restaurant business in Lahti, in southern Finland, and started distilling malt whisky in 2002. It was one of the pioneers of Finnish single malt, and the brewing side remains closely tied to the distillery.
The core releases carry Finnish names. Kaski is matured in sherry casks, Savu is the smoky, peated version, and Portti is finished in port casks. There is also a Teerenpeli 10 Year Old, with variations such as the Barley Wine Cask, and limited releases like the 11 Year Old Akte and a Savu Cask Strength. Many releases also come as miniatures, a handy way to try the range.
Teerenpeli is mostly bottled by the distillery itself, but independent bottlers occasionally release it. In our catalogue these include That Boutique-y Whisky Company and Berry Bros. & Rudd, whose single cask appears in their The Auld And The Bold series.
