Aberlour distillery stands in the village of the same name in the heart of Speyside, where the Lour burn meets the River Spey. The present distillery dates from 1879, when it was built by James Fleming, and it is now part of Pernod Ricard through Chivas Brothers.
The house style is rich and fruity, shaped by a mix of American oak and European oak sherry casks. Many official bottlings combine whisky from both cask types, and sherry is a strong thread through the range. Older labels sometimes call it Aberlour-Glenlivet, a name many Speyside distilleries once used.
The best known release is A'bunadh, a cask-strength whisky from Oloroso sherry casks bottled in numbered batches, which collectors follow batch by batch. Alongside it a buyer meets the 12 Year Old Non Chill-Filtered, the 18 Year Old, Triple Cask and Casg Annamh, plus older bottlings such as the 9 Year Old from the 1970s.
Aberlour is bottled mostly by its owner, but independent bottlings do appear. Our catalogue includes casks from Douglas Laing and Hunter Laing (Old Malt Cask, Old Particular), Signatory Vintage, Berry Bros. & Rudd, James Eadie and That Boutique-y Whisky Company.

About whiskies
Whisky (or whiskey) is a distilled alcoholic beverage made from fermented grain mash. Various grains are used including barley, corn, rye, and wheat. Whisky is typically aged in wooden casks, which gives it its distinctive color and complex flavor profile.
Each bottling represents a unique expression with specific characteristics like age, cask type, and alcohol strength.
